Sevgi Tekin
Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
I work holistically with children and young people with careful consideration given to the child/young person’s unique circumstances and developmental stage. I endeavour to offer a safe, consistent, confidential space in which the child/young person is able to explore and express his/her feeling, thoughts and experiences which they may be distressed and confused by. I am experienced in the use of the creative resources such as the arts and play therapeutically to facilitate communication with children and young people.
My clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents in primary and secondary schools in both Cambridge and London.
Prior to my counselling training and work, I have gained extensive experience within voluntary and community sectors and have worked for a range of organisations serving people from diverse backgrounds. I have worked with vulnerable adults, parents, children and young people offering support and guidance.
