Shira Barkan

Parent - Child and Infant Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

I work as a psychotherapist, specialising in infants, children, young adults, and their parents. My therapeutic approach is relationship-based. Typically, the therapeutic setting involves both parents and children in the room to gain insights into the difficulties underlying their relationship. I firmly believe that these early relationships play a crucial role in later development and transitioning into adulthood.

I am dedicated to actively participating in the therapeutic process. This involves assisting parents in understanding their emotions and thoughts concerning their children. Simultaneously, I work with children to help them develop effective ways to verbalise and express their emotions.

Additionally, I have a wide range of experience working with children and parents facing relational difficulties, as well as children dealing with developmental delays, ADHD, and ASD.
